This course is for workers whose job involves working in or traveling through avalanche terrain. A contract seminar enables you to utilize the terrain, equipment, machinery, infrastructure and problem sites that are a specific challenge to your organization. No two seminars are exactly alike since every organization is at a different level of skill and knowledge. Participants can look forward to interactive seminar topics and techniques, which commonly include: 8-24 hours hands on course that develops critical avalanche rescue skills, teaches you to identify avalanche terrain, apply safe travel protocols and understand the signs of instability.

Contract Seminar: $750 – $1250 per student. Must book 6 spots minimum
In-person: 2 – 6 hours classroom, one – three 8 hour field sessions.

  • Avalanche Transceiver
  • Avalanche Probe
  • Avalanche Shovel
  • Touring boots
  • Touring skis or splitboard – adjusted to boot sole length
  • Climbing Skins
  • Poles with powder baskets
  • Avalanche airbag or ski specific pack, 30-40L
  • Personal First Aid Kit

  • Small repair kit
